Vidyanjali
Vidyanjali is a program launched by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to strengthen schools by involving the community and private sectors. The word “Vidyanjali” comes from Sanskrit, where “Vidya” means knowledge and “Anjali” means an offering, symbolizing the act of sharing knowledge. This initiative connects schools with volunteers from all walks of life—such as professionals, retired teachers, former government officials, NGOs, and companies—who offer their time, skills, and resources. Through Vidyanjali, volunteers can either get involved in school activities or donate materials and equipment, helping improve education in government and government-aided schools across the country.
